For years, Jews have been discriminated, thought of as less than everyone else. Adolf Hitler led the Holocaust, killing thousands of Jews in the process. His goal was to “cleanse the world of Jewish impurities” as someone once put it. Discrimination against Jews is insulting, hurtful, and just plain wring.

Discrimination against Jews can be and is very insulting to them. They don’t like to be walking down the street and have some walk by them or drive by in a car and tell them to go to hell. It insults them to be thought of as less than everyone else. Jews can’t change who or what they are, but they can move forward and have a better life. To be yelled at and judged by something that had nothing to do with them is very insulting.

This type of discrimination is also very hurtful. Jews have lived in peace for years with other peoples, cultures, and religions. They have never done anything to insult other religions. Then you have others who come up and spray paint sayings and symbols on Jewish property and shout mean things. It hurts them greatly. Jews go to temples that have been standing for years to pray and follow their religion. People against the Jews spray paint graffiti, smash the windows, and even try to burn some to the ground. Nothing hurts them more than that.

Jewish discrimination is also just plain wrong. People completely ignore Jews just because of what they are. Just because they’re Jewish doesn’t make them any different from anyone else. Also, in a way, it’s racist. Now, Jews aren’t a race, but they are a group of people and people have feelings. Discrimination is wrong because they aren’t any different from anyone else and it’s wrong to hurt other people.

But not all people agree with this. Some people say that the holocaust never happened. If that was true, then there would have been no Adolf Hitler in the history text books, no pictures of half-starved Jews in the concentration camp, and no holocaust survivors. Hey, there wouldn’t even be concentration camps. Others feel that all Jews should go back to Israel, back to where they all came from. Jews have just as much right to live here as they do. If Jews can’t live here, then neither can they.

Jews have given no reason to be discriminated against. Discrimination against them is insulting, very hurtful, and just plain wrong. Join the fight to make things right!
