Chapter 1

Megumi lay in her warm bed, the orange glow of her night light shown on her tiny doll like face. Her mother sat close to her, her gentle voice like a lullaby to the tired child. She played with the gentle curls of her mother’s chestnut brown hair. "Mama, will you read me one more story?" she asked her voice so little and fragile. Her mother did as she would always do leaned over the tiny child and planted a delicate kiss on her tiny forehead. "Honey, if I read you too many stories you’ll never go to sleep" she spoke in a deep Osakan accent "now go to sleep my angel". Little Megumi closed her eyes as she was told, and cuddled her favorite teddy bear she felt so safe and warm in her tiny room she quickly drifted off to sleep.

Crash! Shatter! Crash! The sounds of windows breaking down stairs stirred her from her heavenly slumber. "What is that?" she asked the darkness covering her head with her blanket. Hearing the terrified scream of her mother she quickly gathered the courage to go down stairs and investigate. There she saw her father’s body slumped over the couch and her mother dangling lifelessly from the claws of what looked like a winged devil women. "Leave my mommy alone!" she yelled with all her courage only bringing a smile to the women wicked features. "You want me to leave her alone do you?!" she glared at the tiny child licking her lips. "Your innocent blood will do I guess" Yazuka threw Megumi’s mother and dashed for her.

She closed her innocent eyes expecting pain but none came "leave her alone you qualms are with me Yazuka" upon hear a man’s voice she opened her eyes peering up at the black trench coat clad prince that stood before her. He had long silver hair and piercing eyes which she recognized quickly were different colors one a gentle navy blue and the other a shimmering gold. He turned slightly to Megumi not allowing his gaze to leave Yazuka. "Leave now Yazuka you’ve caused enough destruction here" he unsheathed his sword incase Yazuka attempted to attack. She dashed towards him with god like speed slashing him with her claws "Shinno don’t forget where you come from you could never defeat me!" He stabbed her gracefully in the stomach smiling at her surprise. "Interesting you actually hit me this time guess you deserve to live another day my dear pet I’ll be back" she disappear tauntingly.

He knelt wiping the tears from Megumi’s eyes "I’m sorry…" he stood turning to leave when he heard her call after him. "Wait mister!" He turned regarding her slightly "I want to become stronger like you I want to hurt that lady for hurting my mommy!" she looked over at her mother’s lifeless form. "I want revenge" He knelt once more cupping her face in his hands "little one there is no use in this world for hatred only justification" She looked up at him her shimmering blue eyes held unshed tears and her curly brown locks hung slightly in her innocent face" he smiled gently "I will help you justify this act against your family, but I will not allow you to develop hatred in your heart. Do you understand?" She smiled up at him nodding quickly "yes sir!"

Chapter 2

Razer sat at her desk thinking her legs crossed across the glossy oak top. She looked at the cracking tiles above her head. Rain pounded the tiny window behind her she didn’t like the rain because it made her think of the night her parents were taken away from her. So dark and lonely the tiny apartment was Shinno was out shopping which left her no choice but to sit and think about the past. "I never even said thank you Shinno…" She thought of the man who had saved her life so selflessly and then trained her for the day she would justify the murder of her family. "You have to know I appreciate everything you’ve done for me" she sighed "now you know I’m bored when I start talking to myself" there was a gentle knock on the door.
