Chronicle of a Lost Knight
Chapter 1: The Adorable Duo.
Their breath fierce yet forcefully toned down, the two figures gazed quietly into the night as they lightly dance their toes through the garden ground, and remove the rubble blocking a small hole that escapes to the other side of the wall. The crack reveals to be a small, crumbled hole to the wall, enough for a person to crawl through. A hand reaches out of the cloak and reaches down to the small hole, but no sooner did a sound of stab to the ground next to the stealths that drove the two figures backward. The standing figure glares down upon the two with sunlight glazing off the armored man.
“Reims and you, how many times have I told you to stop this?!” the man said as the glistening moonlight reflected off of his tattered armor. He quietly yells at the two robed people.
“Hey hey hey! I have a name, and the last time I heard, you’re suppose to call me princess!” one of the figures loudly muttered with a frowning stare.
“Don’t say that out so loud and bold miss prissy. Do you want people to see you two sneaking out from a dog hole like this in the middle of the night?! You look like a doggie princess. You want biscuits with that too!? Huh!? HUH!?
“Whaaaat!? Don’t you dare call me that!” Selah retaliates with a finger pointing at him in a slinging motion.
Breaking into the little dispute, Reims whispers forcefully, “Princess Selah wants to relax at the Dragon Tooth before we go off to Braigon, so cut us some slack…”
The man pokes at Reims’s nose, sending her head bobbing backward, and quickly interrupts, “Exactly why we should have this little doll stay inside so nothing happens to her.”
"Off with your head~!" Selah sings softly at Vergon.
“Oh please! I’ve been idly watching you and my silly little niece run amok and doing things behind my back. Now is not the time when security is tight to ensure everything goes right tomorrow. Turn your behind around, march back to your room and call it a night!”
“Don’t make me tell Aunt Betty about how friendly Uncle Vernon has been getting pretty chatty with Maurgon.”
“DON’T…” Vergon sucks in his breathe and begins a scruffy hiss, “…you turn a petty conversation into an affair!” Vergon swings his arm with his fingers wide open in front of Selah’s face back and forth like a talon missing a few inches from their prey. Reims grins with her eyes wide open, showing her nonchalant and daring, yet innocent smile. The face infuriates Vergon, knowing either way trouble is waiting for him at the end of this heated, mousy argument.
Vergon’s claws lunge towards Reim’s head, catching his prey, shakes her head around raggedly and flings her back, almost sending her falling on the back if she did not regain her ground quickly. Selah chuckled at the battle as if the bicker was nothing more than a sock puppet show found in an arcade. “Be back before the moon is midway in the sky… or your pretty little head rolls.” Selah stumbles her way back up, pats her rear at Vergon and dashed through the hole on her four with Selah.
Five months prior to Princess’s Selah’s 18th birthday, King Jeavan plans to wed her off to the prince of Braigon Empire to build a good relationship tarnished by the Forgotten War set back 14years ago. And because of the age old war, the country lacks the man power to be spread across the land, so Armad Jeaven hires a renown mercenary, Valence Night that is accompanied by his companion Ohryea, to escort his darling to the other kingdom. With Reims attending to Selah through the journey to Braigan Empire, what lies in wait for these girls as they have to rely on two people that are suppose to protect them, but instead slaving them through the journey?
