AppleSeed EXMACHINA is the follow up to the 2004 film Appleseed. It is directed by Shinji Aramaki and produced by Hong Kong cinema legend, John Woo. When you watch this film you deffently see Woo's influence on the action segments (doves. charactors useing two guns at once, shell casings everywhere, that sort'a stuff). Now some of you out there might get a little scard by seeing Woo's name in the credets, but don't worry, this film actully benifets from his pressence.
The action segments are absolutly amazing, the sence of wheight and gravety that the charactors and mecha have really bring the action to life, and of coruse the CG animation is sumply the best.
The eglish voice overs are very well done, so you have to wathc this one with subtitles to be able get the whol story, as we all know with anime, some things get lost in translation.
the sound track is also very good. The music that is used fits with the atmospher of the movie very well, and creats very good tension and ambionce.
All in all this movie is a buy, specificly you want to by the two disc special edition, becuase it has some pretty slick specials. so stop reading, and go buy the dvd. NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
AppleSeed should need no introduction. besides, I couldn't write one that would do it justice. but just for those that care, the Appleseed was created by that same person that made Ghost in the Shell, so if you liked that than you'll love Appleseed.
