“Wow for a guy that never studies you totally aced that test!” Elisia and Dante were walking out of English and heading for P.E. Although Dante never studied he always did great on tests, which he himself never understood.

“It was probably just by luck”

“Arghhh! See this is your problem you never think you did a good job in anything, we have to work on that.” They were close to the gym when a girl came up to Dante.

“You’re Dante right?”

“Yea, and you’re Cindy from my English and Chemistry classes, right?”

“Yup that’s me! Hey listen everyone knows that you’re the smartest kid in our English class, and well, I need help. Are you willing to tutor me after school? Don’t worry you’ll get paid and it’ll only be twice a week. So what do you think?” Cindy was one of the most popular girls in school and one of the cutest. After her the next cutest was Elisia, but she never cared much.

“Yea sure you just tell me when and I’ll help you.”

“Great thanks, well bye” She gave Dante a wink and left. Elisia saw and got a little jealous, but Dante didn’t seem to care much.

“Out of curiosity, why did you say yes?”

“You sure it’s just out of curiosity?”  

“Dante!”

“I’m just kidding! Well one I have nothing better to do, and two I need the money.”

“For what?”

“Well isn’t your birthday coming up? I’m pretty sure its next week, right? And I’m broke so I need the money to get you something nice.” At this Elisia blushed, and didn’t ask anything else. At the same time Dante felt a little embarrassed for what he had just said but tried not to show it.

For P.E they were playing baseball, like in any other sport Dante was a natural. So he was the most picked person when it came to picking teams. After that Dante had Spanish and Elisia had French, it was the only class that they didn’t have together.

Elisia made her way into class, when Cindy called her and signaled her to sit next to her. She did, they didn’t have definite seats so they could always move around. Then Cindy started a conversation with Elisia, it was about Dante.

“So, does he have a girlfriend? What is he into? Do you know if he works out, because he looks so fit! ....”  Elisia had no idea of what was going so she just waited for Cindy to be quiet.

“So you like Dante?”

“Well yeah, he’s not that hot but he is cute. His hair is a little to long but I think I can convince him to cut it.”

“No offense but Dante has never let anyone tell him what he should with himself.”

“And that’s why I called you over here, I want to get to know him better so that when I become his girlfriend I could kind of change him, make him more cutter.” Elisia didn’t like that “when I become his girlfriend” attitude, then she thought back and asked her something.

“So was that whole ‘I need help with English’ thing just an excuse to spend time with him?”

“Well not completely, because I do need help, but it is a great way to spend more time with him. Just don’t tell him. I heard that you guys have been friends since forever but aren’t going out so if you don’t mind can you please help me? ”

“Yeah sure why not” After that class was over. Elisia was a little stunned and jealous, because the truth was that Elisia also liked Dante for a really long time now. She thought about it and decided to tell Dante about Cindy. So she went to go look for him.
