My name is Tengu in the religion of one country (I forget which because of my immense travels.) Tengu is the guardian to the gate way of the underworld. For a thousand millennia I have been the chief advisor to the magical world for one of the most important beings in existence. Soon it will matter no more for he is dead, and my worst nightmare floats in front of me. I am of the species megaton myotis (vampire bat) my fur is midnight violet and as hard as steel with my bones twice as thick, my wings extend to eight feet across and are the hardest portion of my anatomy my jaw is filled with long fangs, twin electrode nodes rest on my hands.

I see demise foreclosing but I will not go to meet the reaper alone!!

            “Give it up my magic is stronger than yours, and you have no help from your allies to save you!!!!” he broadcasted, he was al most entirely human if missed his fangs and red eyes. He had a long cape in a color that matched his long blonde hair he had on a suit he looked noble.

            “To hell with you Wingrider if today is my day than I shall surely take you with me to the underworld!!!” I proclaimed. Immediately I launched my self drawing on my wing’s power to move me forward with hurricane force. I caught him unprepared striking him full in the stomach (if it had not been for the fact that his body was so dense I would have torn through him like paper.) knocking the breath from his lungs he land on the ground unable to move. I knew that hesitating would cost me my life.

            “Tengu thunder!!!” I shouted as pure electricity surged from my nodes striking him in the face and leaving him blinded. I rushed to attack again before he could recover, but I was to late he was already casting a spell.

            “Necro corpus animus!!!” he bellowed suddenly bones leapt from the ground awaiting orders. I had to stop this fast.

            “Deres gyr febu!!(Destroy his energy)” I shouted. The bones fell to the ground. I turned to find out where my enemy had gone, and found I couldn’t locate him. “Tengu voice!!” I screeched and the note continued to rise until screaming in agony Wingrider dropped from a tree.

            “You have no power left pretender your time has expired.” As I readied my killing blow he leapt upon me sinking his fangs into my neck, and draining my strength.

            “nggh” I grunted and threw him away from me, but too late I could hardly stand now, and he was gathering energy for some death blow spell. I looked into the air it was starless night, and the moon was about to be hidden by shadow, I was saved!

            “Death shall take you this day braggart!” he gloated, but his time was done the cloud bank now covered the moon. My fur became black as night my curved inward and red lines painted themselves across my face glowing ever so slightly.

            “no on this night only four shall pass into the afterlife, and I will not be among them.” I proclaimed “underworld thunder” I cried as immense jags of lightning rose from the ground and emerged from my nodes electrocuting him. He charged me furious, and in pain he tried to bite me upon the neck again.

            “Foolish you can’t use that on me twice!!” I jeered as I leapt back and struck across the face. He roared in pain as my punch broke his fangs.

            “gaaahh” he cried as stood again. “Merthy Merthy pleathe!!” he begged as gums swelled, and blood poured from his mouth. I needed not even consider this plea, if I let him live he would kill me the moment I turned my back.

            “No you die!” I roared, and grabbed him by his neck. I sank my fangs into his neck and bite through his neck.

            “Yyyyeeeaaarrgghh” he cried in agony as my fangs sank into his neck. Then silence followed. I knew he would come back unless his body was destroyed. I focused all my power, almost fainting from the pain of the strain.

            “guardian of hell blast full power” I loosed my energy on the body there was a flash of light that seemed oddly doubled and then there was no trace of a body. An hour passed and I wondered aloud “what next?”

            “We’ll find out together.” Said a voice behind me. I didn’t even turn around then it occurred to me that was his voice!! I turned and had to see who could imitate that well. There he stood smiling and looking as if this thing happened to us everyday.

            “how…?” I began.

            “Later.” He said “for know let’s get the others and go home.” Then the cloud cover passed and I passed out.
