Not being a big funny-animal manga friend I started this series only because I liked this volume's cover.The first thing to say is that the art is top-notch.I especially enjoyed the character expressions and designs who are clear and bright.Even though the shades in the panels are inexistent this is justified by the light way the book approahes it's subject.

The book itself is an E.T parody ridiculing the space-invader theme.It does not limit itself there though as from the first pages you will see a long list from themes been ridiculed(from manga editors to the apocalypse....

I found all the references on E.T, Nostradamus, ghosts, Internet and...Gundam especially well-placed and most of the times hilarious.Your usual beach-theme story is in there alll along but it is not that annoying.In general the chapters are rolled-up pretty well and the book's pace is good ,fast and direct, which gives a very good momentum.That could lead to lack of ideas in the future volumes but in this one it works like magic.Anyhow I would recommend this to anyone who just wants to read a nice funny story who does not take itself too seriously but which has its own merrits. I will ,certainly ,be looking for the next volume...
