Why make another clan for manga-ka when there are so many already out there? Because this is a clan for those truly devoted to doing all that is in their power to become a professional manga-ka or other type of sequential artist (comics, picture books, etc.). Also, since it's not really a rule I'll put it here: Support peace between all genre of art whether it be manga or not. Art does not discriminate, it brings us together. Also, we avoided 'internet jargon' in our greeting: isn't that a plus?

BE CONSIDERATE This may be a personal judgement issue, but try to be supportive instead of judgemental. This includes no indiscriminate cursing and bare insults. REMEMBER THE TOPIC This is a Clan for ART and ARTISTS. If you wish to discuss anything else, please do it elsewear. BE AGE APPROPRIATE When posting artwork, remember to be considerate of all ages. If you do not think it is suitable for children, either don't post it or post a warning similar to that of movies: This art may not be suitable for children under...etc. HAVE FUN! We're all here for recreation- let's make it a bit more interesting than seniors' bingo night!

CAD in comics?

I thought this might be an interesting topic for discussion:  Is knowing how to use CAD (computer-aided design) software essential for comic artists?  A teacher was making a big deal about my answer on a worksheet that said that use of machinery, etc. wasn't essential for my career choice.  I told her that I prefer the 'old-school' hands-on drawing, but she wouldn't let it go.  >_<  Please feel free to reply to this topic or start a new one concerning sequential art on the bulletin board.
