TOKYOPOP is actively recruiting for an entry level, administrative support to the Business and Legal Affairs Department
DUTIES:
- Monitor and facilitate the progress of contracts through execution, including maintenance of "open contract" list until contracts are returned for counter-signature, identification of "next appropriate step”, and distribution of executed contacts to appropriate departments.
- Verify, extract, and input basic contract and rights terms into the Licensing Management System.
- Track and file business and legal documents.
- Maintain trademark and copyright tracking.
- Prepare and send business correspondence.
- Conduct research on a wide range of topics.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree from an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- 0-1 year of experience in a business office environment.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Capable of maintaining consistently high quality work product while working on a large number of multiple tasks and projects.
- Capable of learning and developing new skills quickly.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks and non-routine matters.
- Ability and desire to work in team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Good listening and communications skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet.
- Japanese language skills not required, but preferred.
