MARKETING INTERNSHIP

 

TOKYOPOP is seeking interns to work in our Marketing Department.  Interns will gain a wide variety of skills working on our website, direct mail campaigns and events.  This department requires a high energy individual with a curious mind and a creative flair.  Knowledge of the teen/tween market is extremely helpful.  Students should have excellent written and oral communication skills.  Business or Communications majors preferred.

 

DUTIES:

  • Assist with online marketing initiatives including contests, promotions, and viral campaign
  • Work on Marketing analysis
  • Coordinate media mailings
  • Increasing awareness about TOKYOPOP’s media franchises utilizing social networks and video syndication sites
  • Assist in maintaining the Marketing database

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to develop objectives, strategies, and marketing plans for consumer entertainment products
  • Must be able to contribute creative ideas and collaborate with others to enhance marketing strategy
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and budgets
  • Ability to solve problems independently
  • Familiarity with social networking (myspace, facebook, etc)

JOB REQUIREMENT: 

  • This is a Non-Paid Internship in Los Angeles
  • You must enroll in an internship class and receive course credit for the work experience
  • We will work around the intern’s school schedule and be flexible; however, a regular weekly schedule is required
