EDITORIAL INTERNSHIP

TOKYOPOP is seeking interns to work in our Editorial Department.  Interns will be able to gain hands-on experience working directly under our experienced Editors.  This internship will provide valuable experience in the world of book publishing.

DUTIES:

• Assist in developing original and licensed manga editorial plan to meet or exceed strategic & budgetary goals
• Ensure products are completed with correct spelling, grammar and layout, on time and on budget
• Work with others in a collegial manner and laterally manage across departmental lines

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

• English, Journalism, and Liberal Arts major desired
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Positive attitude
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of Japanese language is desired, but not required
• Must have superior communication abilities
• Able to contribute creative ideas and collaborate with others to enhance original projects
• Knowledge of American and Japanese/Asian pop culture and entertainment desired
• Ability to work independently, with limited supervision

JOB REQUIREMENT: 

• This is a Non-Paid Internship in Los Angeles
• You must enroll in an internship class and receive course credit for the work experience
• We will work around the intern’s school schedule and be flexible; however, a regular weekly schedule is required
