Wow, I'm so hyper right now.
Actually I've known for a couple of weeks I was in the finals, I just wasn't meant to tell anybody about it. My entry is 'Fell', as you may have guessed if you saw my real name in my profile (I wonder if when the voting starts our manga will actually link to our profiles? At the moment they don't).
The quality of the other entries is....astounding... seriously. I don't expect to get into the book, haha! But I'm really happy to have made it this far (you know, if somebody is reading this some time in the future and I have actually got in the book, that will sound very funny). Especially to have even made it in when the other entries just look so much better than mine! 0_o; ...Maybe that's just because I've been obsessing over every tiny mistake I made.
I learned a lot just from entering. It's been a great experience. I highly recommend it.
If I don't get in this time, I'll definitely be entering again next year!

As you'd expect from British manga, there's a lot of downbeat, thoughtful stories. Lots of 'slice of life' stuff, but more that last year there's a streak of psychological drama, a whole heap of metaphor and quite a bit of abstract stuff going on. I guess my entry kind of fits with the overall feel in that respect!

Voting for people's choice will start in under a week.....So nervous....
