I figure that if people are checking out this profile, they may be wondering who I am.
My name is Katherine Holden, usually called Kate (it saves time and also everybody can spell 'Kate', so it removes the issue of people writing my name as 'Catherine' or 'Kathryn' or whatever).  I live in what is probably the sparsely populated county in England, Cumbria, which is mostly the Lake District national park.
I love drawing and reading comics. Not just manga, but pretty much anything that's good. My style is kind of chunky and shounen-looking and I have a bit of a weird sense of humour, I guess. I've never been an incredibly popular artist, but I enjoy what I do and I'm always trying to improve my work.
Oh, er, and I have a degree in Japanese. Almost forgot to say that. Well, actually, it's a joint degree in English lit and Japanese, but few people are ever really bothered about the English lit part, they're usually just going 'OMG!?' But Japanese isn't that hard, it just takes a lot of perseverence.  As Honda Touru would put it, 'Never give up desu!'
My favourite thing when hanging out with artists, is finding people who are really good or really promising and full of enthusiasm and potential who nobody has noticed yet. Those kinds of people are the best! ^_^
