Poem: Pressure

Blinding light, flashing colors

Inside my head, torture my mind,

Voices; ringing, shouting

For me to do better, not worse

Sometimes... they stop

Bring me joy

But their words

Cannot leave me

I lose my head

Run to the bathroom

Slamming the wooden door

Close my eyes

Pray

Take out the silver switchblade

Draw a line on my flawless arm

Blood drips, darkens the line

It feels good, there is silence in my mind

Close my eyes

No pressure to do it again

No problem doing it again.

Just a poem I wrote when I was bored. I've read books where things like this happen, so maybe that inspired me to write this? It's not based on me, or anyone I know. I write happier ones than this one too. I'll put more up later!
