L was still on his computer late at night, researching for the Kira case. Light had already fallen half-asleep.

"Do you ever sleep?", Light muttered for a moment.

L sighed and returned to his computer, tossing another sugar cube in his mouth. He knew Misa was probably thinking about Light and that Light was practically oblivious. He itched his head on this thought and continued his work. He noticed something odd, Light was staring right at him. It was probably something to do with kira, but to change the subject, L offered a sugar cube. It was already midnight and L remained vigilant. Misa came in all of a sudden, but didn't seem happy. She was pouting and staring through slitted eyes.

"Why are you doing this to Light? You don't have to watch him he isn't Kira!"

Annoyed, L muttered,"Perhaps."
