After weeks of lurking around TP, I decided to jump the bandwagon and join the manga community!  I'm not much of an artist, I doodle in class when I'm bored but I wouldn't really call what I draw "art." So don't expect my portfolio to have artwork...it shall be anything but :P I like to CLIP pretty stuff, so check out my scrapbook...I shall be accumulating lots of kawaii images I come across at TP. Cuteness overload >__<
So I guess a little more about me...you can check out my profile for the basics. If you read through it, you'll notice I'm just  your typical teenage girl...for the most part ;) I love being a girl and I LOVE to shop! I have a weakness for earrings and necklaces, but now I'm a teensy bit obsessed with collecting shoes (ballet flats are a GODSEND, you can look chic and your feet's comfortable).
I'm also Japanese-American, I live in NY :) I speak a little bit 'o Japanese, but I'd love to learn more of my native language! They don't offer Japanese at my high school...so maybe when I go to college? I just started listening to Japanese music...I think it'd be cool to be in a huge girl band like Morning Musume, or just be a singer, period! Except I kind of suck at singing? Haha.
My best friend, Ryoko, is also on TP too. So say hello to her because she's a NEWB like me! Bahaha.

Manga!
I recently got into manga actually. I was at the mall when it started raining, and I didn't bring an umbrella. It was raining SUPER hard, so I had to wait until it stopped. I was bored, so I walked into Books A Million to read some books until it stopped raining. I walked into the aisle that carries all the comics, and I just randomly took a manga off the shelf and flipped through it. Guess what it was? Haha, FRUITS BASKET. I thought the drawings were really cute, so I was like why not? I reached for volume 1, went to a nearby couch, and started reading. Uh...so I was there until the store closed! It was so good! I immediately went back the day after and started buying all the volumes. Ah, woe be my allowance...
I've only read shojo, maybe I'll branch into other mangas. But right now, I'm addicted to shojo, and shojo it is until I get sick of it!
