~Derek and Elora are traveling through the vast forest on their jouney along with six others from their village.~

Derek; Are you scared?

Elora; Yes out of my mind. How bout you?

Derek; I can't be afraid. If I show fear then I lose the upper hand. I came on this trip for one reason only and that is to protect you at all cost.

Elora; ~blushing~ Derek!!

Derek; yes?

Elora; I don't know when this journey will end or what the outcome will be but I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Derek; Well that's good because~shhh listen puts his hand in front of her to stop her advancing forward. Motions to the men at the back to spread out.~ He grabs Elora's hand and races with her into the trees just as something huge breaks through the bushes.

Meanwhile in LA:

Matt is carrying a tray to a table where Twila is sitting and waiting on him. He is smiling at her as she stares off at the ocean.

Matt; here you go burger, fries and a choc. Shake.~ places  food in front of her and he sits down. They both start eating and chatting.~

Matt; So do you have any particular colleges in mind after H.S.?

Twila; yes, actually I'm thinking about a school in the country.

Matt; HUH?

Twila; oh I don't care which one just somewhere else. I'm sick of streetlights and smog. I want to be able to look up and see the stars in the sky. I've never been able to do that here.

 Matt; you're into stars huh? Good town for it lotsa famous people live here.

Twila; ~punches Matt on the arm~ you know that's not what I meant.

~Matt grabs her hand and gently kisses it.~Twila is blushing big time and just sits there looking at him~

 Twila; c'mon lets go down to the beach and walk along the shoreline for a while K!!~

~Back in the jungle w/ Elora and Derek~

Derek; what is that thing~looking at the grotesque creature who had just broken through the brush~

Elora; ~eyes wide, looking at her ring which is glowing~ I believe that may be  an Arturian warrior.

~creature sniffs the air and locates a scent coming from the bushes where Derek and Elora are hiding. The creature rushes forward Derek pushes Elora to the side and draws his weapon. He begins to battle w/ this gigantic creature. ~fighting~ others come to help but then they are surrounded by an army of these creatures. Derek swings left and right loses his sword and then takes out a long stringlike weapon w/ heavy steel object at the end, beats the first one and retrieves his sword. Battling to get back to Elora he dodges and weaves till a last he reaches her still hiding in the brush. He picks her up and slings her over his shoulder as they escape deep into the forest. They are now separated from the other village warriors and the monsters. They stop to take a breather. Elora notices the wounds inflicted on Derek. She takes some supplies from her bag and proceeds to bandage him up. While he sits there sipping water from a bladder (container like a canteen, but made from animal skin)

Derek; they are ruthless. I didn't think we would have this much trouble so early on our trek. To be honest I thought Elder Menwah had finally lost his marbles but now I see that the prophesy is real and you are one of the chosen three. Man what a day!!

Elora; ~again looking at her ring which is glowing  and says as she looks up~ yep and it's not over yet. Not by a long shot.

Derek;~turns sees the approaching army of Arturians and yells~ RUN!! I'll hold them off. Get as far away as possible.

Elora; ~tears in her eyes~ I will not leave you!

Derek; YOU MUST!! You have to survive it is written. GO NOW!!

Elora; NO, NO, NO, ~shaking her head crying~ Just then giant trees start shooting up from the ground creating a wall, a barrier impenetrable by the advancing army. They are stopped dead in their tracks scratching their large craniums.

Derek; ~Grabs Elora~ how did you do that?

Elora; I-I- don't know my r-r-ring, it protected us, looks into Derek's eyes and they embrace.

                                                 OKAY!! So I'm going through this story and checkin' 4 grammatical errors or other ghastly mistakes when I realized that U people don't have a clue what the Arturians look like..Duh..this author is a real ditz...wait thats me...*sweatdrop* I'm a complete dork....K the bad guys r huge creatures in my mind they r about 10 ft. tall....and well I sorda see them as a mix b/ween the predator and an orc from LOTR...So each one of these monsters r scary in and of themselves so imagine if these two creatures breed the outcome would be an Arturian Warrior......pheww that was rough.....but I just wanted to give u a visual.....Hope u enjoyed this chap...~Tandi
