Back at the Isle of Manawabe;

Azores sitting on the end of the dock letting the warm water tickle her toes; thinking about her conversation w/ Jeff and how she was found in the basket floating on the water. She stares out at the waves gently lapping the shoreline and wonders about where she came from and her real parents when she suddenly feels a cold chill run down her spine as if she's being watched. She turns her head and looks around but sees no one. Yet somehow she can't shake this feeling. She decides to head home for the night as she prepares to leave a hand suddenly comes out from the water and reaches for the ladder directly beside her. Slowly from the water rises up onto the deck the most handsome man Azores had ever laid eyes on. He smiles at her and introduces himself as Caleb. Azores wonders if perhaps this is who she could sense watching her, but it couldn't be he seems so kind and I don't feel afraid to be near him she tells herself. 

Caleb; I'm sorry I startled you. I didn't mean to scare you like that, honestly. I was just out for a swim and ~extends his hand~ names Caleb and you are?

Azores; Oh, HELLO! I'm Azores I live just up the road a way's with my family. I know everyone on this island but I can't seem to recall ever making you acquaintance. May I ask where you're from?

Caleb; Of course, I'm with Jolly Roger Tours we take tourist sailing and scuba diving around the islands. I was sent out here to do some research you know local restaurants, sealife that kinda stuff.

Azores; I don't think you tourist will be very impressed with our small island. Not much to see really!

Caleb; that's not true at all! You wouldn't believe how beautiful the reefs are and the abundant sealife. Your island is awesome!

Azores; yes, well I guess from a fresh perspective it would seem quaint. I've lived here my entire life and things kind of seem a little stale to me.

Caleb; well maybe it's you who needs a fresh perspective? Do you dive?C'mon what d' ya say? How bout tomorrow you go on a scuba diving excursion with me and I'll show you all the wonders your Island holds.

~Azores biting her lip and thinking really hard about taking him up on his offer he is super cute after all.~

Azores; I appreciate your offer but tomorrow is Saturday and I......

Caleb; you what? You turn from a princess into a pumpkin or something? ~smiles and crosses his arms~

Azores; ~giggles~ no nothing like that. It's just that every Sat. my brother Jeff and I go to the seaside cliffs to pick blueberries. It's kind of a tradition! We pick the berries and Mom bakes my Dad's favorite Bueberry pie for Sunday dinner.

Caleb; WOW! I didn't know families still did that sort of thing.

Azores; my family does. A lot of families around here are old fashioned like that, comes with the territory I guess. Hey I've got an idea if you don't have any plans maybe you could join my family for dinner on Sunday. Whadda ya say?

Caleb; are you kiddin'? Me pass up a homecooked meal. NEVER!! I'll be there. ~puts hand behind head~ where exactly is there?

Azores;~giggling~ c'mon I'll show you where I live!
