She jumped from tree to tree, the leaves a blur of green. A veil of blood stained silk hair the color of the finest silver covered her right eye, even as she jumped her silk mask never faltered it's purpose. Only the people she wished to kill saw her face.
Being a vampire she was used to fleeing in the middle of the night, jumping the limbs of the trees, hiding in secluded areas. Although she wasn't used to the company chasing her.
A human or 20 was the usual, she wasn't used to the werewolves prancing after her. Some were still in their human forms she could smell them, there sweat, for they had not let the power of instincts dominate them. They held crossbows, with arrowpoints of silver. Also not the usual weapon. Humans these days carried silver loaded guns, and UV shots too. Although vampires now could withstand the sunlight, and live somewhat normally amongst the humans, except for their diet.
She had an armory of weapons at her disposal, but her intent was not to kill them, she didn't touch any of the weapons that were hidden with what others would call everyday necessities. She posessed daggers in her boots, and guns under her jeans and a shoulder harness for her silver loaded .45 Her black cloak helped conceal her weapons, although it wasn't much use when she was running like she was now, it kept getting caught in the trees she reached up to the clasp her scraped hands protesting at the movement and instead of struggling with it wripped it off.
She reached up and cleared the blood that was running down her face. I hate it when this happens, she thought to herself, all these people thinkin' oh why don't we hit Rose in the head today? What a novel idea! RRGGGHH! If only they knew.
The leader of her vampire clan wanted the werewolves gone. She wasn't on the same page. A rebel, is what she was. Her mission of the moment was self assigned. She wanted to lead the werewolves away from the bomb inplanted in their mansion, which was a center of operations for them. She didn't think of the consequences of her actions, she thought of the consequences her people would face if the werewolves were killed, they weren't the only ones left. Unlike her people the werewolves stuck together, they respected the fact that people can disagree and still get along and they strived to make it their motto; where as the vampires were still stuck in the 18th century and said if you don't agree then off with your head.
"Rose! There's no place to run where we won't find you." One of the werewolves displayed his confidence. Yeah right, Rose thought to herself, right as an arrow started it's course through the middle of her chest.
"Contrary to popular belief, stabbing a vampire in the heart does not kill them." It only makes them go slower, Rose thought to herself as the werewolf who had shot the arrow came towards her. Rose pulled the arrow out and threw it at the wolf's toe, he howled with pain as she passed him.
The bomb she carried would go off in exactly 5 more minutes she had to get it away, and with her injury, she couldn't do that and escape the werewolves all at the same time, they would all end up dead.
Rose became determined with an idea. she pulled out one of her 22's that were hidden in her jeans and threw the bomb far up into the air, she fired off a shot and the bomb exploded as though it were a firework gone bad. A second later she was hit with another arrow, only slightly off from the first ones placing, she became dizzy with pain, and fell to the ground. "That was not a normal arrow" Rose mumbled.
really good tell me when theres more
Haha I like that last line, Scince I love it when characters state the obvious. This story is kick-butt so far keep it up!
sounds interesting tell me when more is up
I thought of the opening paragraph out of the blue I didn't want to lose it so I wrote it down, letting the rest just kind of flow, the only real trouble was figuring out Rose's name.
