Chapter 4

 
Miharu groaned as she made her way to the training grounds. She knew she wasn’t supposed to be on her feet but she couldn’t help it, she was bored out of her mind. The training grounds came into view and she sighed in relief. It had been a week since the little incident with Big-mouth. She spotted her sitting below a tree. Miharu sighed, she hoped that she had gotten over it.

Miharu found a tree and sat under it. If she was lucky, the others wouldn’t spot her. If they did, it was a one way ticket home for her. Suddenly Mina appeared next to her. The little fox gave her a disapproving look.

“You know your not supposed to leave the house for at least another week” she said in a repermainding tone. Miharu ignored the comment. She watched as Naruto appeared. She held her breath and prayed that he didn’t notice her, he didn’t. He was too busy telling Sakura something.  All she could make out was a name, Hinata. That name rang a bell in her mind. Where had she heard that name before? She pushed the matter to the back of her mind when Sasuke appeared. He ignored both of his teammates and sat under a tree a little way away from them. Miharu let out the breath she was holding. She hadn’t been spotted YET.

She had just let her guard down when she heard a voice come from directly behind her.

“Tisk tisk, miharu you know you’re supposed to be at home resting that ankle of yours” Kakashi said. Miharu nearly jumped twenty feet in the air. Kakashi began to chuckle. The other noticed her presence and walked over. Miharu glared at Kakashi as he laughed.

“I told you Miharu, you should have stayed home” Mina whispered in her ear. Kakashi shook his head.

“I know I know go home. I was bored, there is nothing to do at my house and none of you have even come to visit me” miharu said with a pout. This earned her a disgusted look from Sakura, a nervous look from Naruto, and two blank stares from Kakashi and Sasuke. Miharu sighed, it never worked. She began to get up and immediatly had Sasuke and Naruto helping support her weight. Inwardly she cursed them for making her feel weak. She quickly pulled her mind from that train of thought. She barley paid attention to where they were going. When they got to her house, they opened the door and she staggered in.

“Ummm sorry we haven’t been by but we were on a Mission” Naruto said. Miharu nodded. Suddenly Sakura burst through the door. She was panting heavily.

“Akatsuki, they’ve been spotted 2 miles from the village” she gasped out.  Dread filled Miharu, they had found her. She began to tremble. She quickly sat down and covered her face with her hands. Meanwhile, Sasuke clenched and unclenched his fists while Naruto had gone pale. Kakashi appeared in the door. He took the sight in with one glance around the room. His eyes fell upon Miharu and began to wonder why she looked so upset.


“Naruto you are to stay with Miharu, understood” Kakashi said giving an excuse to keep Naruto as far away from them as possible. Naruto seemed to understood Kakashi’s motive and nodded. Kakashi and the others left to meet the Akatsuki. Miharu was still trembling.

“They found me, I can’t believe they found me. I thought maybe he would give up.” she thought to herself. She fought the urge to sob. Suddenly there was an explosion nearby. Naruto immediatly got out Kuni and got ready for anything. The door was busted open and in the doorway stood none other than Itachi Uchiha.

Miharu bit back a gasp as she saw him. Naruto seemed to have frozen in place. Itachi’s eyes swept the room and rested on Miharu. A smirk appeared on his face, one that scared Miharu.

“Found you” was all he said but it chilled Miharu straight to the bone.  His eyes then shifted to Naruto and the smirk turned into a frown. Behind Itachi, Sasuke appeared and threw Kuni at him. Itachi disappeared and reappeared behind Miharu. She felt his presence a second before he grabbed her and disappeared again.

They ended up on the roof. Itachi looked down at Miharu, whom was trembling in fear. He smirked.

“Miss me” he said simply. Miharu glared at him and tried to pull away. He frowned at her reaction.

“What’s wrong I thought you’d be happy to see me” he said a hint of confusion creeping into his normally bored sounding voice.

“ I told you I didn’t want to see you again, after you told them where I was hiding. You told them, I trusted you. You said that you wouldn’t tell and you told.” Miharu said, tears began to leak from the sides of her eyes. Itachi wiped them away with a frown.

“I’m sorry, leader made me tell. He was going to kick me out of the Akatsuki if I didn’t” he said still frowning. Miharu glared, tears still falling.

“Oh and we can’t let that happen can we. I actually thought you cared, I guess I was wrong” she said her voice laced with sarcasm.  Shouts were heard, Miharu was able to make out Naruto’s voice. Itachi let go of her and stared down at her as she sat on the roof.

                       
“ I said I was sorry and I meant it. I’ll be back and we will discuss this” he said firmly. Tears began to fall as she watched him turn and leave. When she couldn’t see him she began to sob. She barley noticed when Kakashi found her and brought her back into the house. She fell asleep tears still falling from her eyes.



“Ok does anyone know what’s going on here” Tsunade said to team 7 as they stood in her office. Only Naruto seemed to know anything.

“ well when the door opened he didn’t even look at me. He said “found you” and when Sasuke started throwing kuni he grabbed miharu and disappeared.” he said nervously.  All eyes shifted to Tsunade.

“Well how is Miharu doing” she said.

“She’s asleep. When I found her, she was on the roof crying. I don’t know what happened” Kakashi said putting away his perverted book. Tsunade seemed to contemplate and motioned for them to leave.
