Darkness and tension fills the air. I can feel them surrounding my base. I am always constantly being watched. Escape is one of my daily hopes that i wish for desperately. i have estimated about 5,000 of them outside right now. They are heavily armed and ready to fight-----but so am I.

        They have convenscated my collection of food and water. I wonder how much longer I can go without food. It has been days and Im starving. Today I have decided to venture out and try to find food...I only hope I can survive the journey.

         I can see them in my head---fuzzy, multiple colors, and those 16 tiny legs, HIDEOUS!!! Oh people used to think they were so harmless and cure, but that was before they realized that the only thing inside those timy bodies is pure evil!! I don't remember how many years have passed since they turned, but i warn you citizens of the past, beware of the dangers that they will soon bring, beware of the CATERPILLARS!!!!!!

                                                CHAPTER 2

         I walk slowly down the deserted street. The streets are quiet, so quiet that if one of them barely moves, I will be alert enough to make my escape.

        After searching some of the deserted grocery stores nearby, I find enough food to last me the rest of my journey. My journey will only last me a few days, hopefully. I am in search of my long lost friend who went traveling in hopes of finding help years ago.

        Suddenly, a rustling sound breaks my concentration. They are planning an attack. I hold my gun close to my chest as I wait for them to make the first move.

         To my surprise a single caterpillar steps into the light. He is unarmed and seems friendly. It could be a trick. My instincts tell me to just shoot and leave, but something about how scared and lonely he looked kept me from doing it.

        I mean for a being of pure evil, he was cute! Before I even had the chance to turn and leave, a bullet zipped past my ear and struck the caterpillar. I never had time to confront the stranger because it only took 2 seconds for a massive swarm of caterpillars to storm into the streets.
