I'm not a really "girly" person. But, if there's one really "girly" sort of thing I have a passion for, it's ball-jointed dolls! An expensive hobby, to say in the least.

Now, I love ball-jointed dolls. Naturally, I don't have the money to buy one (even a 6" Mini Super Dollfie is too expensive), but I love them anyways.

The Volks Dollfies, as far as I know, are almost completely customizable, and are incredibly articulated and poseable due to their being BJD dolls as opposed to something like Barbie or an action figure.

Now, you may be wondering; so I've always loved dolls? Well, I never really played with dolls as a child -I beheaded Barbie and played with my LEGOS- but in recent years I've come to love just taking what dolls I have and... Well, not play with them, but sort of dress them up, clean them up a bit, and so on.

It's funny, that. I don't think I seem like the type of person to want to do these kinds of things, but I am. ^^;

I've always wanted to be able to fully customize a doll. You know, from hair color and style, to eye color, face shape, body shape, skin color, and clothes (of course). That's all possibly because I want to make them look like some of my original characters. Ha, ha.

Sadly, all the Mini Super Dollfies -the smallest and cheapest of the bunch- are about $400 USD each, and and even the larger Super Dollfie 13 dolls run about $700 USD. *sob*

The tallest, and the articulated doll would be a limited edition Super Dollfie 17 male doll called Ranier. I'd love to have that doll, but I'd hate to see the price on it... :O

There are also Korean dolls, too, out there. :) I like the Delf dolls by the Korean company Luts, and I'm also a fan of OrientDoll, another Korean company. And, it just so happens to be that I'm Korean! Heehee. ^^

I'm always jealous of those people at anime cons who bring their dolls with them, so...

Does anyone else have BJDs? Or for that matter, does anyone else like BJDs? I suddenly feel all alone. But, even so, show me your doll(s) if you do! I want to be jealous of you!
