King City feels like it's going to be one heck of an unusual series. A cat that can do anything, and antogonist with apparent flaws make the serie feel like these might just be real things in the future. The cat, in my opinion, is a represention of where genetic engineering could possibly go and Joe, the main character as far as I can tell, is not set up to be this nearly perfect penicle of humanity, but rather an individual who seems to have interchanging morals and a very strong weakness for his ex-girlfriend. All in all the cast of quirky characters brings a refreshing breath of fresh to the seemingly deluded and underdeveloped worlds of idealisc futures and instead focuses on a single place that can be best described as a gang and mob ruled city where politics hardly ever play out in anyones mind.
