The manga was serialized in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume from 1995 until the author decided to go on hiatus on 2003. The published chapters have been collected in 11 volumes.
thats the official word on it at least. I loved the anime so I also hope to collect the manga someday, what there is of it at least.

I've only seen that anime and i really want to read the manga...Do they ever get rid of Muraki in the manga? Does it have a lot of extra stories that aren't in the anime?

Matsushita wrote a doujinshi for the series a couple of years after going on hiatus. I know that it has Oriya and Muraki's girlfriend in it and that the art is really different (I've seen a little bit and was shocked at how much she changed it). But does anyone know where to find it? Your help would be greatly appreciated. ^_^
