07.12.2008 12:00 AM

I own all four of these manga. I bought it when it first came out. ^_^I have to say that this is one of the best written and most beautifully drawn manga Clamp has ever done. Also TOKYOPOPS best printing job. The tokyopop manga print is just fantastic!!! All the color pages were clear and vibrant and the little see through dust jacket that came with it was great. It was like a work of art!!!!. I just hope that Clamp actually finishes this series unlike so many of thier unfinished series. Please finish this series clamp, I know the last volume was realeased like 10 years ago so I hope it wont take them any longer. How come their so slow???. I'm 16 now so I will probably be 50 before they finish!!!!! lol

Please reprint this. I bought the entire run when it first came out, but lent the copies years ago and never saw them again. I'm longing to read it since I remember it being brilliant.

I'll give a vote or three to "please reprint this series!!" I only ever got vol 1 and have been having a hard time finding the other vols, esp vol 4. btw, I found a reference to a "Clover: Celestial Collection" a few years back, it even has an ISBN (ISBN: 159182592X for the curious).. Does anyone know if this collection was ever actually published?

CLAMP hasn't finished this yet. I GUESS, after they finish Tsubasa and/or xxxHolic, they'll finish this and/or Legal Drug. I have infinite wisdom. :3

I didn't get to read this when it first came out, so I hope it's re-realeased. Nowadays, it's very hard to find, so I think it's about time.

I too am in favor of the plan of re-releasing! I currently do own a copy of the OOP clover and yes, i did buy it for a fairly high price - not as high as $70/book, but higher than the original retail price. I would be ecstatic if you were to re-release the series, but in the original right to left format. Some of the pages were confusing because of the flipping. BUT I really like the velum covers!!! Hopefully you still keep those. Thanx.

Ohmigoodness~ It would be awesome if this series was re-released. D: I somehow managed to find book 2 3 and 4, but is unable to find volume 1 in English or for a low price. I wouldn't mind paying $20 if you re-released this book again

08.12.2007 12:00 AM

Please re-release this manga. :( It is RIDICULOUSLY hard to find, and the only copies that have surfaced are usually damaged and selling for OVER $70 for just the damaged copies. It was said you were considering continuing the release of the series, please do!

      OUT OF PRINT

Withdrawn and seemingly fragile, Sue is a Four-Leaf Clover who possesses unique abilities. Feared by a militaristic government, she is imprisoned for her entire life to live in isolation.... All of that changes when Special Agent Kazuhiko is assigned to escort the girl to the mysterious playground called Fairy Park. Coming out of retirement, Kazuhiko is ordered to to escort and protect Sue from subversive organizations that would kill to capture the "Clover" and exploit her abilities. This is a stunning - and faithful - recreation of the original Japanese book which includes: a parchment dust jacket, color prints in the front and back of the book, and a meticulous translation of the book into English maintaining the beauty of the original layout.

Sue
She is one of a special breed of humans called Clovers. Among them, there are several levels of Clovers - a three-leaf Clover was thought to be the strongest. But Sue is unique even among other Clovers and is considered the first four-leaf clover. A resident of Fairy Park, she and Kazuhiko begin to search for the origin of her powers, the forces trying to kill them, and what the intentions of the Parliament are for her as they seek to cultivate her powers.

Kazuhiko
A former secret agent, Kazuhiko has gone to work in the private sector before being asked to take one final clandestine mission for the government. Kazuhiko is to take a package, which turns out to be Sue, to Fairy Park. But as he learns more about her and her connections to his past and his long-lost wife, he begins to wonder why he in particular, a soldier in retirement, was chosen for this mission.

Oruha
Friend of Sue and lover to Kazuhiko. Her music connected her with Sue and she became Sue's only friend.

Gingetsu
High officer of the secret color army. Silent and dutiful, he helps Kazuhiko on his mission. Nothing much is known about him.

Ran
A three-leaf Clover who yearned to live a life that was more like a human and less like a test specimen. He breaks free from the laboratory.

What is 'CLAMP'?

CLAMP is the four-woman manga studio that creates the world's most popular manga. For the past 15 years they have worked non-stop, creating everything from the adorable shojo (girls comic) hit Cardcaptor Sakura, to the dark and brooding Tokyo Babylon, to the sci-fi romantic comedy Chobits. Currently they are working on four series: Legal Drug, X, Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle and xxxHolic. The group also has a close relationship with anime studio Madhouse, which has adapted most of CLAMP's manga into equally successful anime.

2004 marks the team's 15th anniversary, and to celebrate they are working on a retrospective collection called CLAMP no Kiseki, available from TOKYOPOP in 2005.
