Kira is a lonesome waif who cares more about her art than anything else. Rei is an arrogant, rebellious and tough playboy who wears his delinquency like a badge. When these two opposites find each other, the sparks fly, but they also attract some unwanted attention. While Kira deals with Rei's jealous suitors, Rei has to confront demons from his past.

Kira
Shy and reserved, Kira is a talented artist who is lost in her own world. Alienated from her surroundings, she finds herself drawn to Rei. Even though their attraction doesn't make sense, she sees compassion in him that no one else can.

Rei
He is strong, resents the world, but family is important to him. He has a dark and shadowy past and a penchant for violence. He is drawn to Kira because she created an image of a mother and child that touched his heart.

Harumi
Harumi likes Rei and is jealous of Kira. She takes Kira to the empty gym and threatens to crush her fingers unless she gives up on Rei.
