When old friends of Rei show up at the school fair, Kira finds that she may have some heated competition for his love. His old flame, Shiori, confesses that she never gave up loving Rei, and she now wants him back. To make things worse, Kira uncovers more about Rei's dark past and his brother's suicide. Would she be better off if she just let Shiori have him?

Kira
Shy and reserved, Kira is a talented artist who is lost in her own world. Alienated from her surroundings, she finds herself drawn to Rei. Even though their attraction doesn't make sense, she sees compassion in him that no one else can.

Rei
He is strong, resents the world, but family is important to him. He has a dark and shadowy past and a penchant for violence. He is drawn to Kira because she created an image of a mother and child that touched his heart.

Harumi
Harumi likes Rei and is jealous of Kira. She takes Kira to the empty gym and threatens to crush her fingers unless she gives up on Rei.
