Yukino Miyazawa is the perfect model student. Pretty, kind, good at sports, always at the top of her class. But she's not all she seems. When she enters high school, she finally meets her match: Soichiro Arima, a handsome, athletic, popular, and very intelligent young boy. Ever since he stole the top seat in the class from her, Yukino has hated him, and has been plotting on how to take back her former place as the object of all other students' admiration. What she wasn't expecting, however, was that Soichiro, the very boy she hated, would confess his love for her. Or that he would find out about her deception - and use it to blackmail her! Together, they discover that they have more in common than they knew, and they promise each other that they'll stop pretending to be perfect, and just be their true selves.

The story line is so good, and I love how incredible the comedy is. I laugh at the same jokes for ages.

SPOILER! Ok Arima-kun did not die! It was a joke between Yukino and Asaba. I would have been very very VERY upset if he died. Kare Kano has been my favorite anime/manga for the past seven years, ever since I first saw it. I strongly recommend it. I have all 21 volumes and each one is quite a page turner. It has a great story and well developed characters. The only thing I can say bad about it is that I wanted to know more about the other relationships such as Maho and her boyfriend, Tonami and Sakura, and Rika and Aya's brother. I didn't care so much about Shebahime and Kazuma, but even that was interesting. My favorite couple was Arima and Yukino, of course, but I still want to know what happened to them.

This is a great series from start to finish, there are lots of great characters in this series but the main story line is around Yukino & Soichiro. If you have seen the Anime of this, the manga will fill in the blanks and take you deeper into the characters lives. The anime is very good by the way defenitly worth watching. Oh and the end of the Manga series will put a smile on your face ^_^

This manga is so good! It is one of the firsts I have ever read. The story is touching, and there are so many twists and turns it makes me dizzy with excitment. The anime was great also, although they only had 26 episodes. This is a must Shojo manga. ^_^
