The adventure begins! King Jaryoon of Hahyun is attacked by a monstrous emissary from the nefarious vizier, Shiyan. The swordsman Rey Yan appears and slays the monster with PaSa, a powerful blade originally crafted by Shiyan himself. Further thrills follow, including an epic battle with the (nearly) inconquerable White Tiger.

Rey Yan
Orphaned after his parents died from a deadly epidemic, Rey Yan is no longer fully human as a result of something terrible performed on him by Prime Minister Shiyan. He managed to escape from the Prime Minister's Black Tower with the fabled PaSa sword.

Shyao Lin
Met Rey Yan after he had escaped from Prime Minister Shiyan's Black Tower.

Mingling
A minor goblin who tags along with Rey.

Jaryoon
King of Hahyun and younger brother of King Moosungjae. Has fallen in love with Shyao, but is also possessed by an evil sword, the PaChun sword.

Sorceress of the Underworld
Wicked and cunning.She has conspired to use Rey and his PaSa sword to defeat the Demon Emperor.

Chen Kaihu
A diminutive martial arts master. In Rey, he sees a promising pupil—one who can learn his powerful techniques.

Kouchien
A dashing rouge who battled Rey as a bandit, he now tutors under Chen Kaihu. He’s a master of the “four synthesis” technique. He suspects that Rey is far more than human.
