Funny!
It's action! It's adventure! It's sci-fi! It's high school hijinks! It's...everything!
Someone's been kidnapped, and the Duklyon duo are the only ones capable of saving the day. Well, actually Clamp School Detective Akira Ijuyin would rather save the girl himself, seeing as it is his girlfriend who was kidnapped, and he'd certainly do a better job of rescuing the girl. But the mysterious Director has other plans. His Duklyon defenders will save the girl whether they like it or not!
Takeshi Shukaido
The serious member of the Duklyon team, Takeshi hates, hates, hates Kentarou, but puts up with him because he truly believes in justice. When rushing into battle, he sometimes forgets his etiquette and gets carried away with the insults he hurls at the villains.
Kentarou Higashikunimaru
Kentarou is the care-free, fun-loving member of the Duklyon team. He is an excellent cook and brings elaborate bento box lunches every day for himself and 'Takepon.' He considers himself to be Takeshi's best friend and even dreams of becoming his bride someday.
Kotobuki Sukiyabashi
A classmate of Kentarou and Takeshi, he's always hanging out with them and admiring their 'friendship.' He seems to be a perfectly normal guy, but secretly he's the leader of the Imonoyama Shopping District Association, an evil society bent on world domination. He's madly in love with Eri.
Eri Chusonji
The third member of the Duklyon team. Even though she doesn't usually join in the battles, she's stronger and more menacing than the two heroes. She keeps Takeshi and Kentarou in line through strict discipline in the form of two massive mallets. She's intrigued by the mysterious long-haired leader of the Imonoyama Shopping District Association.
What is 'CLAMP'?
CLAMP is the four-woman manga studio that creates the world's most popular manga. For the past 15 years they have worked non-stop, creating everything from the adorable shojo (girls comic) hit Cardcaptor Sakura, to the dark and brooding Tokyo Babylon, to the sci-fi romantic comedy Chobits. Currently they are working on four series: Legal Drug, X, Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle and xxxHolic. The group also has a close relationship with anime studio Madhouse, which has adapted most of CLAMP's manga into equally successful anime.
2004 marks the team's 15th anniversary, and to celebrate they are working on a retrospective collection called CLAMP no Kiseki, available from TOKYOPOP in 2005.
