Tohru Honda
A very humble and grateful girl, Tohru tries hard to please those around her and sincerely wants to get to know them better. When she discovers the Sohma secret, she promises to take it with her to her grave. She's always felt like an outsider--a rice ball in a fruit basket--so living in a household of outsiders makes her feel as if she's finally home.
Yuki Sohma
Zodiac Animal--the Rat. Yuki is beautiful and mysterious. The other kids at school call him the 'Prince of Kaiwaia High.' He left the main Sohma house so that he could attend a co-ed school, but being so popular yet unable to touch any girl makes his life quite difficult. He's often fighting with Kyo.
Kyo Sohma
Zodiac Animal--The Cat. According to legend, the Cat was tricked by the Rat and was left out of the Zodiac. Kyo certainly acts like someone who was betrayed, and Yuki--the Rat--is his greatest rival. He's been training hard in the martial arts so that he can beat Kyo. Impulsive, headstrong and prone to violence, he has a hard time dealing with others, but he's trying.
Shigure Sohma
Zodiac Animal--The Dog. Shigure is a novelist by trade and tries hard to look the part, lounging around the house in his kimono. He has a dry wit, but a good heart. As senior member of his splinter Sohma house, he looks out for Yuki and Kyo.
Natsuki Takaya
Natsuki Takaya made her manga debut in 1992. She was born in Tokyo and her Blood Type is A.

this book is amazing,i wanted 2 read all the book and by the i'm english and nepalese..........i love reading book and when i first read volume 1 i start 2 love it and got fan of it i wish there was movie for that or drama i couldn't sleep all i could think of was the book and my brother just like staring at because i was happy then he sis wats wrong with u i was just like i'm just happy then i went is there any problem he was like wow...his like calm down..... and i love japenese people

Hi im from Hawaii, the Big Island.. I was bored one day so I read the first two Volumes of the comic book and I got intrested in Fruits Basket. I Love It soooo Much!!!!! I wish there was more to the ending...I hope you folks make more to the story because it's awsome...oh yeah and I forgot im 87% hawaiian......

I love this series too! Half of mine i got off via swap though from Mangatude.com but i still spent a good fortune on it! LOL, it was worth it though, i LOVE this series! Was VERY happy with the ending!

i read the whole story it was excellent. i love the ending. it was sad that it ended already but i love every moment i read the book. i hope they will make a continuation of the anime and have the ending like the books. it was so inspiring.

After reading Fruits Basket for four years straight and waiting for every book to come out, I can truly say it's my favorite. Without Furuba, my life would have been dull. The ending was magnificent and I wish it didn't end. Even though Furuba is over with, I'll still cherish it always.

I'm really, really going to miss this series!! buying the newest volume of fruits basket has become sort of a ritual for me, so this is a melancholy release, as it's the last volume!!! takaya put so much thought and work into this series, and i wanted to thank her for producing such a wonderful manga!

Fruit baskets was an interesting rean and I'm sorry the manga going to end, but she might maybe tried to make a spinoff of the manga.
