During a school trip, Mitsuo and his classmates stay at an old Japanese-style hotel, where he gets nonstop hiccups. A mysterious old woman working at the hotel tells him that a person who hiccups 100 times dies. After that refreshing experience, Mitsuo's troubles get worse when he discovers that he is being watched by a young man named Kanau Hibiki, a former drama club member who has been haunting his school for the past 15 years. Kanau's horrific death led to the discovery of a tragic betrayal, and it's up to Mitsuo to return body and soul to everyone before it's too late!

A lonely high school student who is psychic. Can see spirits, who 'use' his mind and body to communicate with the living for a purpose. These encounters are sometimes awkward, sometimes scary, sometimes helpful in his own life.
