Hakufu defeats Taishiji in their one-on-one battle, and Taishiji ends up in the hospital, where the doctors say he'll never fight again. While everyone else is collecting jewels from defeated opponents in order to enter the upcoming tournament, Hakufu feels guilty for what she did to Taishiji, and doesn't feel up to it. Koukin runs into trouble as he tries to collect enough jewels for himself and Hakufu.

Hakufu Sonsaku
A young girl blessed with a large chest but a small brain who lives in the country with her mother. Hakufu is a Toushi and, as such, she has a burning desire to beat people up.

Toushi
Owners of ancient jewels containing the spirits of the heroes who tried and failed to unite China in the Three Kingdoms era. Scattered throughout Japan, the jewels have the power to draw out the full potential of those who inherit them. However, Toushi are possessed with an insatiable appetite for battle.

Battle Vixens which originally appeared in Japan as Ikki Tosen in Gum Comics and has now inspired an anime series, too. Shiozaki-san (blood type A) also created a series known as Karen, which was serialized in Young Jump.
