A drugstore that deals in medicine ... and danger! Kazahaya Kudo has a gift. When he touches a person or an object, he sees visions. With no money and no place to stay, Kazahaya was out of luck until fate brought him to the Green Drug pharmacy. Now, in exchange for working in the store, he gets room and board. But in order to make ends meet there's a catch ... he must take on 'special' assignments from his boss that can only be handled by someone with Kazahaya's gift. With the help of his co-worker and roommate Rikuo, who has unusual powers of his own, Kazahaya finds himself on missions most surreal.
Kazahaya Kudo
When Kazahayas's life is saved by Rikuo, he ends up being taken in by his rescuer's boss at the Green Drug pharmacy. Now, much to his dismay, Kazahaya lives out of the pharmacy and rooms with Rikuo (any time with that big lug is too much time). Kazahaya also has a 'gift' (or a curse, depending on how you look at it) that causes him to have visions ... a skill that is most useful in completing the special side jobs he and Rikuo do.
Rikuo Himura
Big and gruff, like a bear, seventeen-year-old Rikuo works at the Green Drug pharmacy. He has the telekinetic ability to 'break' things.
What is 'CLAMP'?
CLAMP is the four-woman manga studio that creates the world's most popular manga. For the past 15 years they have worked non-stop, creating everything from the adorable shojo (girls comic) hit Cardcaptor Sakura, to the dark and brooding Tokyo Babylon, to the sci-fi romantic comedy Chobits. Currently they are working on four series: Legal Drug, X, Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle and xxxHolic. The group also has a close relationship with anime studio Madhouse, which has adapted most of CLAMP's manga into equally successful anime.
2004 marks the team's 15th anniversary, and to celebrate they are working on a retrospective collection called CLAMP no Kiseki, available from TOKYOPOP in 2005.

Interesting concept but unfortunately it ends with 3 volumes w/o ever really explaining much. I hope Clamp decides to continue work on this series.

well thanks for taking time to answer my question but i found out the hard way and bought it myself. Its okay though i only wanted to know because i ordered it with my sisters credit card and it was gona be delivired to her house and i didnt want her to see the yaoi in it and get the wrong idea (im a guy) the book is really good and i dont mind it having yaoi and im happy i got it

There is heavily implied yaoi but I don't think there is actually any kissing(I've only read the first volume so I'm not entirely sure). And it's more secondary characters than the two main characters. Hope that answers your question.

PLEASE! More Legal Drug! This is an awesome series. Also, are there any videos available? I saw a uTube remix with Legal Drug and there was anime mixed in! Fantastic plot, interesting situatuions, absolutely hilarious -- please let there be more.

@ MICHAELMCCARVELL No, it has absolutely nothing to do with weed. The title comes, (at least partly, hard to say really since only 1/5 of the story is out so far), from the fact that the characters live/work at a drugstore. Drugstore as in, you know, Walgreen's or CVS or whatever they have where you live. Plot is a bit hard to explain, but basically it centers around four guys, all psychically potent in some way, two of whom are in a (heavily implied) relationship, (so if you don't dig shounen-ai, beware!), and two of whom go on strange, supernatural side-jobs. The two younger guys are currently locked in miniature life-crises, both involving women who are important to them. Not much else I can really explain besides that. It's a pretty good series, classic CLAMP, and similar to xxxHolic, (arguably, they are set in the same universe, since in xxxHolic, Watanuki visits the drugstore they work at).

i asked a friend that sells manga through a company hes going to look in to it supposedly they are talking about completing the whole series in one giant book but there will be a fourth i know that much when exactly i'm not sure yet 3 has been out for about 3 years now kinda like the candidate for goddess really good but they haven't come out with i new one in forever and it says at the end to be continued. Grrr..... its very frustrating.

Hmm... I really like this manga so I hope that gray outline of volume 4 means that is will be coming back. It was so disappointing when it ended all of a sudden in the middle. So cross your fingers everybody.

Great start to this series. I cannot wait to see how it all turns out. Only about 1/5 of the intended story is out because the series is currently on hold (due to the fact that the magazine it was serialized in Japan has ceased its publication). However, CLAMP director Ageha Ohkawa has explicitly stated at Anime Expo that "CLAMP will be resuming it in the near future." Be patient! Good things will come, I'm sure of it...then we can all squee in delight!

Please stop asking about VOLUME FOUR. This question has been answered a million times. REVIEW: I absolutely love this series and devoured it the day I got it and reread it trying to find hints for the next book. I wish it were yaoi but CLAMP -creator- are always ones to tease so I'm not going to expect anything more than teaser fan-service

I love this series because it is both funny and serious at the same time. I heard that this series will be picked up agian after two other CLAMP series are finished. I don't know if it's to though....
