One day, Ryoko spots someone in a crowd, and by his reaction it's not just anyone. Going after him alone, it turns out to be Hibiki, an old friend of Ryoko's who is now being controlled by Matsurika. Once Matsurika gets ahold of something, she never lets it go--and her next target is Tsugiri! Also, the enigmatic connection between Ryoko, Myobi, Hibiki and Matsurika is finally revealed.
Tsugiri
His name literally means 'binding companion.' Tsugiri is a boy who has a strong dislike for Alichinos, and possesses the power to kill them. His mother was killed -- along with their entire town -- by Alichino. He alone was saved -- by Hyura, and then put into Ryoko & Myobi's care.
Myobi
Her name literally means 'beautiful darkness.' She is an Alichino, and has white hair & red eyes. She is a protector of the Kusabi, and loves Ryoko very much. She and Ryoko saved Tsugiri when he was a child.
Ryoko
A powerful man whom Myobi calls her 'master.' Ten years ago, he rescued Tsugiri from a near-death incident.
Yui
Yui is a male Alchino and the ruler of an entire city that is in his thrall. He is a different sort of Alichino in that he lets his human targets live on and worship him, instead of eating their souls.
Kouyu Shurei
Shurei-sensei won the prestigious Cobalt Illustrator's Award in 1995. Her career has included illustrations for several series of novels. She also drew doujinshi with the 'Shi no Tenshi' (Angel of Death) circle. Alichino is her first major manga.
Her birthday is July 6, she's a Cancer, and her bloodtype is 0.

I found first 3 at library and I just love 'em. Are work & story line nicely done! Are there any more of these???

I have all three of the ones that are out. I wish I knew when number 4 was coming out. I love her art. I hope that she doesn't just drop it...that would so suck. Some people say that she has dropped it....

I believe Shurei-sama is still working on vol. 4 (which is the final volume) I hope it comes out this year!! Her art is so gorgeous :D

I saw number 4 in the shops today in the UK...might be worth looking it up in some uk bookstores online if you wanna import that is...I only just picked it up today so looking forward to reading it

This series apears to have been put on indeffinate haitus in Japan. But sometimes a mangaka will pick up where they left off, say 7 years latter, so....

ALICHINO has one of the greatest art I've seen!! and a very intersting story!! the series is fun to read!. Vol 3: is my favorite! and I hope vol 4 comes out soon!.
