Riko turns in a new garment for the emperor's next banquet. Unfortunately, the emperor dislikes it and orders Riko to remake the garment. Riko tells the emperor he doesn't have enough time to make another one. The emperor expresses his outrage and orders Riko's wife, Ria-hu, who used to work as a lady-in-waiting for the emperor, to return to her old position as a lady-in-waiting. The emperor also orders them to turn in their son, Liling-Po, to him.
