The band members accidentally get themselves booked on their first American tour, but Ryusuke has disappeared! Jet-lagged, exhausted and unable to get in a groove without Ryusuke, Beck's first American tour may also be their last. Where is he? And how long can they last on the road without him?
Yukio Tanaka
Yukio is a completely average 14-year-old boy, nicknamed "Koyuki." His life has been pretty dull... But everything changes when he meets Beck! No, not the famous singer, but a patchwork, Frankenstein-looking dog. Beck's owner, Ryusuke, changes Koyuki's life forever. Soon, Koyuki becomes a budding musician in a band called BECK!
Ryusuke Minami
Ryusuke has played in various underground rock bands. He's cool and edgy, and Koyuki is in awe of him--both as a persona and as a musician. He's responsible for Koyuki's newfound interest in music.
Izumi
Yukio has had a crush on Izumi since they were in elementary school. She's cute and sweet, and she gave him the nickname "Koyuki." She's into rock music, and because of her, Koyuki delves deeper into the world of music.
Beck
Ryusuke's loyal, stiched-together dog. He's the glue that stuck everyone together.
Tanabe
Koyuki's trouble-making school friend.
Harold Sakuishi is one of Japan's most talented creators. His knack for three-dimensional characters and incredibly detailed artwork (take a look at the musical intruments in Beck!) have made his books -- Gorillaman, Bakaichi, and Stopper Busujima -- quite popular.

So much disappointment in learning that (not long after becoming obsessed with) Beck is being delayed. New fans are arriving now that the anime is being shown on comcast on demand, so now would be the best time to continue, I believe.

Latest news says that manga volumes are merely "delayed". i just hope they're not delayed indefinitely. i LOVE this manga. i already have the next 2 volumes pre-ordered.

I ADORE this manga, the English anime is only 1 of the 2 dubs I actually like. A must but, I can't wait 'till I read them all!

The Anime was good, Kakon, and you should also read it. I have up to volume 4 but I was planning on getting some more. Definately one of my favourite manga.
