Three from the Flower Troupe are sent on another mission--this time, in the creepy interior of a haunted house! But with Sumire and Kanna already at odds with each other, working as a team to beat the vengeful spirit behind the chaos may take a miracle!
Ensign Ogami Ichiro
Our hero. Recent graduate of the Naval Academy, but unfortuantely his first assignment is as a dead-end job as a ticket-collector at the Imperial Opera House in Tokyo.
Kanzaki Sumire
The prima-donna of the story. Sumire is a star, and she knows it, but she's got the skills to back up her attitude.
Lieutenant-General Yoneda
Keeps claiming he's no longer a military man (and seems boozed-up enough to support that claim), but he's not really fooling anyone, except our hapless protagonist.
Maria Tachibana
A striking, tall young woman of Russian-Japanese descent. She plays many of the dashing romantic male roles for the theater troupe.
Shinguuji Sakura
The heroine of our story- an attractive young woman who typically wears traditional Japanese clothing (a kimono and hakama pants, with a big bow in her hair), and fights with a katana sword.
Sakura Taisen, also known as Sakura Wars, has one impressive pedigree! Based upon a series of computer games, it has spawned several OVA series, movies, and most recently, a television series.
Originally created by Hiroi Ouji, creator of Virgin Fleet and Moeyo Ken, written by Satoru Akahori, creator of Sorcerer Hunters and Saber Marionette and writer of Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, with character designs by Kosuke Fujishima, creator of Oh My Goddess!, this series has everything going for it. The manga features art by a brand new artist, using the original character designs, with scripts by the creator, Hiroi Ouji.
