Hotels, swimming pools, and a lot of relaxation...or at least that's what they had hoped for. Just as things seem like they might settle down at their secret hide-out, Kouhei and the gang must once again relocate to an island to keep Hazuki safe. Only one thing...vampires and water don't exactly mix. To make matters worse, the special connection that continues to grow between Hazuki and Kouhei is being threatened, and it's by someone in their very midst...

Kouhei Midou
Despite his entire family being famous exorcists and mediums, Kouhei has zero spiritual powers. His mother mysteriously disappeared when he was 13, and he now lives with his grandfather who owns an antique shop. He is immune to vampires controlling him even after they bite him, and he is considered to be an "Ama vampire."

Hazuki
A mysterious girl whom Kouhei met in the German castle. A vampire. She returned to Japan to search for her mother. She considers Kouhei her "slave" because he was her first bite. 11 or 12 years old. She likes to wear cat ears.

Seiji Midou
Kouhei's cousin and son of the main house of Midou. He is a famous exorcist, and he has very powerful spiritual powers.

Heidi
A cat Hazuki and Kouhei picked up when they first looked for Hazuki's mother near the lake. Named "heidi" because "hai" is "ash" in Japanese, since the cat is grey.

Hiromi Anzai
Kouhei's friend since high school. Works at a publishing firm.

"Grandpa" Ryouhei Midou
Owner of an antique store and Kouhei's grandfather. He used to be an active exorcist, but retired and runs the antique store. He is constantly seeking for clues and reasons why his daughter (Kouhei's mother) disappeared, and believes that the keyword "vampire" is the biggest clue.

Ellefreise
A vampire woman. Her special power is summoning monsters. She is under the control of Count Kinkle, and attempts to retrieve Hazuki back to the German castle. However, after sucking Kouhei's blood, she was freed of Kinkle's control.

Count Kinkle
A powerful vampire. His special power is manipulating light and turning into any form he wishes. A day walker.
