Ami and Noa are the best of friends ... except when it comes to cute guys (particularly ones they both fall for, which happens a lot). Then the claws are unsheathed and war is declared!

Ever since preschool, they've always fallen for the same guy, and always end up scaring the objects of their affections away, leaving both of them single and miserable. However, after 15 years of losing in the game of love, a light finally appears at the end of the tunnel.

One evening they go to a party and each fall for a different guy! Their names are Tamon and Tomohiro, and they both appear to be the Prince Charmings both girls have been searching so desperately for. As their respective relationships blossom all seems right with the world ... that is, until Ami discovers that the apples of their eyes are really rotten to the core.

The guys have a nasty game they like to play, one in which the ultimate prize is breaking a young girl's heart. Once Ami discovers this, she resolves to not only make Tamon really fall in love with her, but also stop her best friend's heart from being crushed by Tomohiro. Thus the stage is set, as Ami must race against time to save Noa-- while finding true love for herself!

Nami Akimoto
Akimoto-sensei lives and works in Japan. Raised in Kanagawa-ken, Japan, her work Loving You debuted in the 1986 August edition of Nakayoshi Deluxe.

During her stint at Nakayoshi she also created Miracle Girls and P Natsu Doori. Her title Loving won the second annual Nakayoshi Best New Artist Award.

Ami Uzuki

Noa's love interest. Ami's races to thwart cupid's poisoned arrow before Tomohiro can break Noa's heart.

Mika Tsukishima
Tamon's ex-girlfriend. She represents the strongest threat to Ami's romance with Tamon, as she vows to win him back.

Hiroyuki "Chucky" Miyamura
The hot, new teacher at Ami and Noa's school that the girls had a previous crush on. He informs them (much to their chagrin) that he is now single and willing to date either one of them.
