In a world full of evil, a hardworking waitress, an arrogant mercenary and a mysterious samurai meet. Through a series of misunderstandings, Fuu, Mugen and Jin find themselves running from officials and wanted by the law. Together they form an uneasy alliance to search for the enigmatic Sunflower Samurai. Along the way they come across misleading characters, ninjas, assassins and a prince in disguise. Their journey proves to be nothing less than a roller coaster ride of battles, danger, desperation and companionship.
Fuu
A bright, enthusiastic and more than a little ditzy young waitress. Fuu has an obsession with a sunflower-scented samurai which has yet to be explained.
Jin
An accomplished samurai with a mysterious past and a deadly technique, Jin is quite and respectful--nearly the polar opposite of the loud and obnoxious Mugen.
Mugen
A swordsman who has mastered a "champloo" (mixed) style of fighting, he's unrefined, arrogant and lives like there's no tomorrow.

I saw the anime once, seems like a hip-hop gangster story combined with a samurai story, it is fun.

I just finished both volumes.. danggg.. they let the story hang there with no sunflower samurai in sight. but oh well, it has been a great journey overall with loads of stuff happening just in their first volume. I cant believe it, cos it was like reading 100pages from a novel. Candid and definitely action-packed. Cool stuff. If you're a samurai.
