A great read
I came looking for a easy read for school, i left with a strange urge to keep reading and to go play my ps2.MORE

There BlackRose squares off against the double-knife fighter, Kite. Written from BlackRose's perspective, this adaptation of the popular franchise is the first installation of yet another hit .hack novel series.

A debugger and the main character. He is also Watarai and the Captain.
Balmung

These novels are amazing! They follow along with the games, but from Black Rose's perspective instead of Kite's. Whether or not you have the time or money to follow the games, these are great(and have a neat tie into the manga!). Oh, and xxKamixx, each volume corresponds with a game, so they sort of have the same plot, but with different details and emphasis because of the viewpoint and lapses into the real world.

This Series is awesome. You finally get to find out what life is like in the "real world" in these novels set in the original four games' storyline. I know you get to see a little bit from the Liminality OAV, but with Black Rose--Akira, it's on a more day to day basis and you follow her story from the first time she logs onto the "world"!
