The background is in the distant future, a post-apocalyptic world after the destruction brought about by Armageddon. The war between humans (Terran) and vampires (Methuselah) continues, as a struggle between two factions: the Vatican and the New Human Empire. Yet, amidst the bloodshed and violence, many desire a peaceful co-existence between the two species. However, standing between them and this goal is the Rosenkreuz Orden, a group of vampire extremists who manipulate the two sides and pit them against each other. To combat them, the Vatican special operations group "AX," led by Cardinal Caterina, must use everything they have - even a vampire who preys on the blood of other vampires.

trinity blood is the shizz. i got this book started to read it and my mind had only one thing going through it (Trinity Blood is the best anime ever!!!!!!!!) its awesome man so awesome!

This anime really kicks!!!!!!!!! It was a kind of a if'y type of anime for me know that I'm a anime freak. But once I got into it I really enjoyed it. I had to go out the next day buy the whole inter collection. To kuroiku commit about how this person is reading reviews about how its almost like trigun and hellsing, I truly don't believe because if trinity blood is ripping off these two shows then every other tv show out there is doing the same thing so whats the point of even caring what others say. And by the way Abel nightrood is cute!!!!! and I hope there is more to it because the ending kept me wondering.

i keep reading bad reviews of this anime. the art is praised every time as it should since it is absolutely gorgeous! but plot, character development, background, history to the war and the different factions are lacking. many are rather angry at how they blatantly ripped off trigun, hellsing and so on. i only watched a few minutes of the anime and it was the art that drew me in.
