This book was amazing beyond words. The only inconvenience is that now I want more volumes.... but everyone wants more of something that is too good to end.

I read the book before reading the manga, but I watched the first episode a long time before I read the book. I liked the first episode, it was suprisingly strange, the book was even more strange, the manga was the same. But I liked the series.

11.03.2007 12:00 AM

watched the anime and read a little of the manga. the manga is way better and it's totally different then the anime.

10.31.2007 12:00 AM

oo! heard about the animé version of this in 'Newtype' magazine- it got really good reviews. admittedly never read a comedy manga before- normally go for the romance as my love life is non-existent :P definitely reading NHK though!

10.30.2007 12:00 AM

ahh... Abe's cover art, and NHK! I will be picking this up asap.

10.29.2007 12:00 AM

My friend bought the book & letted me borrow it. It only took me a day to read it & I liked it. There some great comedy. This is the original, so don't except the online gaming or anime-shopping parts, but it's still a great purchase. However, the glossary was alittle strange. They don't explain loli-con (still one of the funniest parts. 30 GB of loli-con gathered in one week!), but kotatsu (those heated tables) is explained? Yeah, people who don't know are gonna be alittle surprised when they search on Google....

10.27.2007 12:00 AM

sounds good! i'll look into it

Satou is a 22-year-old college dropout who has become a hikikomoro, a paranoid recluse. That is, until he meets Misaki, a mysterious young girl who invites him to join her special "project." Satou slowly comes out of his reclusive shell and his hilarious journey begins, filled with mistaken identity, Lolita complexes, and an over-protective mother!

Tatsuhiko Takimoto came to Earth in 1978, in a place called Hakodate in Hokkaido. He grew up in the rural north of Japan before moving to Tokyo for further studies. He dropped out during his second year in Tokyo’s Senshu University . Tatsuhiko Became a self confessed “top-runner” of the hikkikomori generation and a writer of denpa-kei stories. During his four years as a hikkikomori he had produced three novellas or light novels. Even though he’s only got three books to his credit, he’s recognised as one of the rising stars in the post-Murakami Japanese literature movement, characterised by the advent of the ‘light novel’. The light novel is a peculiar genre of literature that’s linked to Otaku culture.
