Young Mikan runs away to Tokyo following her best friend, Hotaru, who has been enrolled in an exclusive, secretive private school for geniuses. But it turns out that Alice Academy is a lot more than meets the eye. this manga is amazing and one of the best series of shoujo out there ever made. i highly recommend this book to anyone. me and all my friends are addicted to it, i even have a friend that is a guy that likes this X3 (he's not gay, btw)

this series is TOTALLY WORTH GETTING INTO. It starts off cute and fun, then slowly turns into a darker, romatic story...it's really really AMAZING btw, GO MIKANXNATSUME!! :3

You'd be surprised at how dark the story gets.
This isnt out in the UK yet..but i managed to scrounge a copy off the mothers boyfriend who works a tokyopop. I can honestly say that this is one of the best i have ever read!
Does anyone have any good suggestions of manga that is similar to this? I'm into Ouran High School also, so something about as similiar as either of them? I love this anime and manga by the way ^ ^ Gonna buy it as soon as I get the money, been reading it online already.

I didn't have any expectations when I bought it - although people said it was great. But it surprised me big time! I'm so hooked... It's just like they said: The greatest shojo universe since Fruits Basket! It has already become one of my all time favorites!

I really like the series but I still can't get used to the way they spelled Ruka's name. I now have to read it spelled as "Luca", I guess there is nothing wrong with the R-L thing but the K-C thing is what's bothering me. Oh well.
