Amidst preparations for war between the invading Northern Empire and the Southern Federation's Schtengel Knights, Wataru and Ki-Kiima finally face Book, a member of the Shigdra, with Miina, the would-be assassin, by their side. But things take an unexpected turn when a very ancient, and very large, dragon gets involved! Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Wataru and crew, Kaori is finally found by the Branch patrol...only she doesn't seem to be in complete control of herself.
