I read the original Japanese version of Manga Sutra (Futari H) and I can tell you, it is one funny story. Light-hearted and pure, yet erotic and sensual. I recommend it if you're not put off by the touchy subject matter and large amounts of nudity and sexual activity.

The idea that you would buy the rights to a decently made comic which happens to feature sex on top of the decent story it tells and then call it Manga Sutra? That is absurd. I am a fan of Futari H and have been since it came out in Japan. This is why I buy dark horse...they don't F*** with things that don't need.

I like it. I saw scans of this series before Tokyopop licensed it. The series is very educational, as well as, comical and it gets even more entertaining as the series continues. I recommend this series.

O_O!! interesting... is seems more like hentai though but in many ways it seems like a new connection between new lovers. just... if this series was trying to get that karma sutra feel wouldn't be more about petting and touching and the over all ritual of love and love making ( other wise why name it Manga sutra? catchy title maybe?) I would be interested if they went all out with the whole deepness of sexuality, rather than sensationalize it by just screwing all over the place.......then again I'm gonna have to check it out so really get a true take on this....so just take this comment with a grain of salt ^_^; (seen the anime though, now thats straight up hentai... )
JBROWN87, I've also read the Japanese version! While I am excited about the licensing here, I'm worried about how it will turn out. As far as I know, they're not fully serializing the series, and I think that's a shame because it's such a really good manga. For those of you going OMGHENTAI, it's on a thin line between ecchi and hentai, but leaning more towards ecchi, since it's actually a good story with lovable characters. If you love romantic comedies like Love Hina and Onegai Sensei/Please Teacher, then you'll probably like this as well. : )

Why the heck did they give it a crappy name and cover? Manga Sutra? Indian != Japanese On the plus side, the original was well done, so as long as the editing wasn't bad, it might be worth getting. If you want a better sense of the art, go here: http://www.younganimal.com/futarih/comics/ I don't see how they could possibly be mistaken for kids.

....1.The art looks....crapy. They look like 6 year olds from what I've seen...and newly wedded 6 year olds shouldn't be thinking about sex...*cough* Not that I have... 2. The story line is ok...but it's not very catchy. There needs to be a twist somehow. 3. Everything would be better as a yaoi.
