I've had a real run of bad luck this month.

First we got a brand new cooker, which the first time it was used it caught fire underneath the hob and Argos where we bought it from wouldn't refund or replace it because my Dad installed it, even though it was a fault with a part.  We had to buy another one from a different retailer and we paid extra to have it installed.

Next a bird fell down our chimely and got stuck behind our fireplace.  We called pest control, but it died before they could come.  When someone did arrive, they were convinced it was mice, no matter how many times we told them.  They just put poison bait down and left, promising to come back.  That was over a week ago.

Yesterday, the local little brats kicked a football through my living room window, showering my Mum in glass (fortunately she was unhurt).  The little brats, even had the cheek to climb over, get their ball and keep right on playing.  Our landlord boarded up the window last night, but can't send anyone to see about replacing the glass until tomorrow.

Lat but not least, my dog has cut her paw on something in the back garden (probably broken glass from the window) and as she weighs more than I do, it was a real struggle to clean and bandage her foot.

I'm not going to say "What else could go wrong?", because I just might find out.
