Soul to Seoul Volume 1
Kai and Spike are best of friends. They have a common background, the fact that they are both half Koreans. They both feel alone and mistreated, angry towards the world, and uncomfortable in their own house. One day in the middle of black Harlem, they accidentally encounter a Korean foreign student, Sunil, and both become interested in her. . .
Kai feels discriminated against by the Korean side of his family because he is not full-blooded Korean; he is half Korean and half Caucasian. Even though everyone is against him, Kai decides to date a Korean girl. He also takes comfort in his friend Spike, who is half African-American and half Korean. The sparks fly when Kai's malicious cousin from Korea comes to the U.S. to study and lives with Kai's family. Will Kai's mixed-blood begin to boil?

A Note from the Author:
"Liking something and doing something well is completely different. When choosing a career path, I think it's better to choose something you do well rather than something you like. I've heard a lot of people say that they became manga artists because they loved manga -- but in my case, I don't think I liked manga as much as those around me. However, for me, this is something I can be the best at. As I'm drawing the characters, sometimes I just become part of the world that I'm creating. In that moment, I'm not the artist anymore; I'm one of the characters in that world. I think this is what makes me continue to draw manga. I feel joy in doing something I'm good at, and I like expressing myself. In Soul to Seoul, I want to express all of the things that I love. As I finish each episode, I do have a feeling of regret that I haven?ft done my best, but I would comfort myself by saying that my work is continuously improving, and I feel the urge to learn more to become better."

I'm still trying to find volume 5! I think it's been interesting and I want to see if any of my predictions (guesses of what will happen next) will happen in the final book! So with that said I'm off to find it...
