My mom says the Japanese are racist, and that may be true, but I don't like to hate many for a few (otherwise I wouldn't talk to white people). Mom says I shouldn't like or draw anime or manga because of it, but that's not something I can give up easily. So... lay it on me? Do you think the Japanese are all racist? and if so (answer this in your comments, please) should this stop me from liking/drawing anime/manga? Jou is Hana's fifty-seven-year-old grandfather and grandmaster martial artist in his own right. Jou has forgotten more forms of martial arts than most people learn in their life. He came to America years ago because of his conversion to Christianity. He loves to carve and sell small wood carvings known as netsuke and teaches martial arts in his dojo, which is next to his house.
